"The musical game that hits the right notes! The weekend after PAX, I had a BBQ with a few friends, they are just getting into gaming but the best musicians I’ve ever met. I knew Oom-Pah! would be something these guys and gals would really connect with. And I wasn’t wrong, even before we started playing, they were going through the sheets and cards, you could see they were in their element.

When they finally started playing they loved the game, they were so sucked in to all the musical theory. They didn’t start at the beginner’s rules, they went straight to the advance rules. It helped that they all had an understanding of musical theory. We played, sang and rocked til the early morning….

Oom-Pah! is an in-depth educational tool that is heavily themed and is a must have for any music teacher or student or musician that is trying brush up or learn more about music theory." (DezDoes)

evil genius mum (Geekmom) review

"... it deserves the extra ! at the end of the name! It’s not just the exclamation you make at the end of each round. It is the cry of success you make when Music Theory Makes Sense. It’s like a burst of song coming forth with enthusiasm and verve!

Oom-Pah! is magical. It made something so foreign to me now seem tangible. The stack building explains the natural patterns of music; the simultaneous play of ascending and descending orders pushes me to remember both directions. I take the speed and competitive elements with a light-hearted touch, knowing that it is a fun game to push me to remember more.

Best of all, I love the additional tools provided. They provide visual learning support in a subject that usually seems so abstract to me.

The game is equally admired by my musician friends. I have shared the game with a few music teachers I know, and so far the response has been filled with praise.

EG Sinister recently achieved a High Distinction in his Music Theory Exam (with the Australian Music Examinations Board). His tutor loves Oom-Pah! so much, she is planning to use the game as part of his lessons–a quick game at the end of each lesson, to test his knowledge and confidence."

“🎶 Oom-Pah 🎶
I love music but got no talent for music…can Oom-Pah make me better at it?

I was so happy to see a beginners guide in the box and dove right in…
To me Oom-Pah has similarities to solitaire and some other card games but due to the variation and especially the learning scope it becomes a fascinating card game. It plays fast and it has interaction.
You could play it independently from the music part…

Yes it seems a lot if you are a rookie music listener but the rules are explained rather simple and are very clear…

Oom-Pah is a card game that makes you learn about music theory in a clever clean way. It is in its essence a learning game. Without it it is just a card game. Want to learn about music or teach music please get this game as fast as possible it is highly entertaining and a great way to learn about music theory.”
